Scope of Supply: Main Cooling Water Pump
Western Energy was awarded a contract from JEL for Thai National Power SPP2 Cogeneration for the supply of 2 units of Vertical Axial Flow Pumps, with a 340 kW motor supply, weighing a total of 16 tonnes.
The major characteristic of the Main Cooling Water Pump is their high flow and in this case, the flow was 3,600m3/hr. These 2 units of cooling water pumps provide fresh water to cool the exhaust steam in the condenser and pump it back to the wet cooling tower or the outlet of open cooling system.
