Workshop Premises Expansion
Having experienced a spurt in demand for after-market services, WE looked for a bigger servicing premise and located itself strategically in Tuas, positioning itself closer to the Oil and Gas companies in the area, thereby providing a fast response to site issues.

Company’s Internationalisation
The company had its sight towards serving a global market. It implemented a new business strategy, expanding its business throughout South East Asia region with local representatives in Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia. WE has moved to new premises and increased the number of employees by 50%.

Sales Breakthrough Year
The company notched a record year of sales, clinching a total of US 30 Million worth of project contracts, supplying our pumps internationally to end users such as Fujairah Refinery Terminal, Invista Sukra Acid, KNOC Donghae, CNPC Lanzhou Petrochemical, Petrobras Gas II, Vopak Tanjong Priok Terminal, Chevron Platong Thailand, Vopak Terminals Singapore and ESSO Kipper

Hydraulic Driven Fire Pumps Business (Hydraulic Driven Systems Business Development)
Following the FPSO market trends and constraints, WE embarked on a year’s work of Research & Development to design a hydraulic driven packages that are suitable and economical for FPSO operators. WE’s effort paid off when Sembawang Shipyard for the ExxonMobil – Banyu Urip project in 2012.

With the rapid development of Iskandar area as a Petrochemical hub, company purchased two manufacturing facilities of total area of 9,000 and 18,000 sq. ft. Located in the SME City world-class industrial park, it excellently serves its purpose and ability to provide customers with excellent and complete range of after- market services.
Year 2014
Petronas Licence Registration
Western Energy’s subsidiary company, WE Energy Sdn Bhd, had successfully registered and granted a licence from Petronas to supply products and services to projects involving oil exploration and support oil and gas companies in Malaysia. In the same year, a manufacturing licence was approved.
